NVTRP Has an AED Device On-Site
Thanks to the generosity of the Adam P. Seymour Foundation, we now have an AED device on-site at the farm. An AED (automated external defibrillator) is a portable device that can send an electric shock to the heart to try to restore a normal rhythm in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest.
NVTRP will be holding Child and adult AED/CPR/First Aid classes at the farm on the following days:
January 24 from 10:00-3:00
February 7 from 9:00-2:00
The cost is $105 per person. Click here to select a class and make payment. Please note, it is not necessary to attend both classes. Space is limited.
Sudden cardiac arrest is one of the leading causes of death in the U.S. Over 350,000 people will suffer from sudden cardiac arrest this year. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere and at any age. An AED is the only effective treatment for restoring a regular heart rhythm during sudden cardiac arrest and is an easy to operate tool for someone with no medical background.
