On Wednesday, July 6th, The Northern Virginia Therapeutic Riding Program (NVTRP) hosted an open house to showcase potential activities and therapies to be offered by the program.
The more than 35 people in attendance were given the chance to participate in an Equine Assisted Learning session, as well as art therapy and yoga demonstrations. Staff members were also available to discuss NVTRP’s current programs and volunteer opportunities.
It was a great time for new and old volunteers alike to bring their family and friends to visit the facility and meet the staff and horses.
NVTRP promotes the health and healing of individuals with and without disabilities through a holistic approach of mind and body.
